Coasteering
Coasteering was born here in West Wales, inspired by the rugged coastline of West Pembrokeshire. Coasteering is a journey along the tidal margin which combines a mix of swimming, scrambling and jumping. No two Coasteers are ever the same—wind, waves and tide are constantly changing the sea state so you’re always guaranteed a unique journey. Coasteering is an active journey along the tidal margin which presents a range of challenges along the way. Using a mix of climbing, scrambling, leaping, traversing, swimming, sliding, ducking and jumping you will experience our wild coast through the zawns, gullies, caves, cliffs and reefs of the Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay coasts. With courses starting in Moylgrove, Cardigan Bay Activity will provide everything you need for a truly memorable experience. Or if you fancy a more daunting experience including the infamous Blue Lagoon, why not try Celtic Quest Coasteering. |
Surfing
Pembrokeshire's coastal national park is a beautiful, unspoiled playground with many secluded bays set in deep, cliff-lined coves. The region's beauty lies in its geography, the three peninsulas offer a wealth of options with breaks facing all points on the compass, as long as there's a big enough swell running then good offshore waves will be breaking somewhere. The main W facing beaches receive SW/W swell, are offshore with wind in the E quadrant and are a consistent bet. The more popular beaches for surfing are Whitesands bay (St Davids), Freshwater West and Newgale. For up to date sea condition please see the Magic Seaweed website.
